Well, he did it....

Evan used the potty! A few nights ago before bath time, he wanted to sit on the potty. So, on his usual naked run to the tub, he stopped and sat on the potty. And low and behold - he went!!!! I couldn't believe it! And that's not it - he has gone at least twice a day for the last three days! Have I mentioned the child isn't even 2 yet?!? He really loves to "go" in his potty!! Now I can't guarantee it will stick since he's still pretty young, but for now we are pretty proud of our little man!

So, I decided to get Evan a potty. We're not really trying yet, but he does sometimes tell me when he went or even has to go. I'm not at all excited about potty training, so I don't mind waiting until he's a little older. I just don't want to delay him if he is ready, so I bought a potty chair. He loves to sit on it...and play with it....and put toys in the bottom. But still no real action in the potty. And that's just fine with me! :)

This was Caden's first bath in the tub. He LOVED it. He just sat in the water - big contrast from Evan's first bath where he screamed the entire time. And yes, he is my little chunky monkey! :)

This was on Fathers Day. We waited until the end of the day to get a picture...which is why everyone looks less than thrilled. Oh well.

Well, I just think he's just cute! He's going to be a big boy, just like Evan was. At his 2 week appointment, he already weighed 10lbs 10oz! That's almost a pound a week! More pictures to come....

Pictures from the Hospital...

Baby Caden has arrived!!!!

Last night, May 28th at 8:55, Caden was born. It was crazy!!! Steph had contractionsins since the night before but they did not get serious until a few hours before. Called the doctor and she said take our time to come in. Then Stephs water broke at 7:20!! So we went to the hospital and got checked in and settled at 8. Well Caden was ready to come out so unfortunately Steph was not able to get any drugs!!!! I have never seen her scream like that before. INTENSE!!! The Doctor arrived and he was out in bout 15-20 seconds!!! WOW!!! I will never forget last night and how incredible Steph was. She was what all the nurses were talking about even with 25 other women in labor. I am a proud husband and father. Caden weighs in at 8lbs 15oz, 21", dark blonde hair, blue eyes, and super cute. Pics coming soon, we are hoping to leave tomorrow.

40 weeks...and counting

So I will officially be 40 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I know, I'm HUGE. For some reason my boys like to stay in there as long as possible. (Evan was almost a week late) Anyway, I go to the doctor tomorrow...we'll see what she says. Hopefully soon!!!

Evan's Little Corner

We have this little "cove" under the stairs that I've been wanting to make Evan's space since we moved in. Well, I finally did it! He loves animals and these characters are from the Sandra Boynton books. She is a great kids author and we have tons of her books. So, I drew these little friends and painted them on the wall for Evan. He now loves hanging out in there and going to see his friends! :)
