Getting Into Things....

Sometimes when I shower, I put Evan in his crib with a toy. That usually keeps him entertained while I get ready. The other day, he was fussing, so I went in to see what the problem was. Somehow, he got himself stuck in the middle of his toy. I cracked up! I wish I had seen how he did it!
His bathtub was in the hallway, so he decided to fill it with all his friends and hang out!
Evan's new favorite thing to do is crawl in whatever he can. This includes the bottom of our side table in the living room!
And he likes to crawl on top of things....like this empty diaper box. Funny kid!

Buddies

This is Evan's little buddy, Connor. He is one week younger than Evan. His mom and I met at our MOPS group. We took them to the Childrens Museum and they had a lot of fun!

Daddy's Boots

Evan has this thing with wearing whatever shoes are laying around. (Thanks, Mandy) It is pretty cute...and this time he found Casey's work boots. I'm not positive, but I think they may be a little too big. :)

Evan's Haircut Cape

I decided to start cutting Evan's hair myself, so I bought this cape for him to wear. Well, he had a great time running through the house flapping his "wings". It provided entertainent for all of us!

We're having a......

BOY!!!!
We found out today at 1pm, and my sister found out at 2pm! My parents were watching Evan, so we all went back to their house and they had thought of a fun way to have the "reveal". We each had a pink and blue balloon, and on the count of three, lifted the correct gender color. It turns out we are both having boys! We are really excited!! The ultrasound looked great and we're excited to welcome the newest little man into our family.
**I forgot to add earlier that Evan correctly predicted the gender of both babies!! He was given a blue balloon and a pink balloon. If he raised pink, we were both having girls, if he raised blue we were both having boys, and if he had raised one of each, there would be one of each! Sure enough he raised the blue one! Just call him Evan the psychic!

More Benny Drama...

The drama that my sweet Benny brings to our house continued today. Let me just set the stage. I was in Evan's room changing his diaper when I heard the dogs running up and down the hall getting a little rowdy. Now, they know that rough-housing is not allowed in the house, so I was a little agitated. I finished up with Evan, and stormed out of his room to put throw them outside. However, as soon as I left his room, I noticed bloody footprints in the hallway...and then in the entryway...and into the dining room. I put the dogs outside, and looked to see who was bleeding. You guessed it - Benny. His back right paw had blood all over it. I left them outside, figuring the snow would be good for his paw to stop the bleeding. Then I went to asses the damage. The footprints went through the house, and into our room, and ON OUR BED. Eew!! That is the only furniture the dogs are allowed on (because they sleep with us), and while they were wrestling they ended up on the bed. So, I got to spend the next 45 minutes cleaning up blood. (I used Oxi Clean and oh my word, it was AMAZING!!) I finally looked closely at his foot, and being the detective that I am, and following the "bloody trail", I think I think I figured out what happened. He and Daisy were wrestling in the dining room and he jammed his foot against the wall which broke his toenail way farther down than it should be. He apparently didn't really care, so they continued to wrestle all through the house.

Mystery solved. And the house is cleaned up again...until next time.
